Position Summary
The Dietary Aide performs a number of kitchen activities including
dish washing, general cleaning duties, daily meal service, assisting
other dietary positions with meal preparation and storing food and
non-food supplies.
Essential Job Duties
- SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and pots and operates dish washing equipment.
- Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen
according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Taking and delivering food and beverage orders.
- Ensuring resident satisfaction.
- Ensuring that quality standards and service are being delivered.
- Deliver meals to residents unable to dine in the dining room.
- Maintain assigned work station in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies
with department dress code.
- Follow safety regulations: report injuries or any unsafe
conditions and work practices to the supervisor.
- May assist with basic kitchen preparations and/or serving.
- Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the
residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors promoting a
homelike environment.
- Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor for the benefit of
the residents.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
- Must meet all healthcare requirements, including Tuberculosis skin test
- Must be in positive standing with all healthcare agencies,
including the Employment Clearance Registry and Adult Maltreatment Registry
Physical Demands:
This position may require constant standing/walking and repetitive
motions, frequent bending/stooping, reaching, lifting/handling,
pushing/pulling and occasional carrying. Weights may vary up to 50
pounds and the frequency of treatments may vary.
