Job Description:

Position Summary

 

The Dining Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the dining room to ensure the dining experience of our residents have been met with exceptional customer service and complies with applicable food and sanitation regulations and standards.

 

Essential Job Duties

  1. Ensures the timely delivery of food orders by the dining room servers
  2. Works in a manner that promotes a safe and sanitary environment for staff, residents and visitors; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents, and injuries
  3. Complies with the Confidentiality Agreement to maintain the appropriate level of confidentiality
  4. Supervises the dining room team to ensure that residents receive food at the proper temperature and are able to enjoy each course in a relaxed manner
  5. Responds to additional requests from residents and remains attentive and courteous while providing excellence customer service
  6. Supervises and assists the staff in keeping the dining tables, chairs, floors, linens and serving areas clean and stocked
  7. Prepare rooms for meetings, and arrange decorations for social or business functions.
  8. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors promoting a homelike environment
  9. Works with the Chef in coordinating staff schedules
  10. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor for the benefit of the residents

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
  2. Must meet all healthcare requirements, including Tuberculosis skin test
  3. Must be in positive standing with all healthcare agencies, including the Employment Clearance Registry and Adult Maltreatment Registry
  4. Food service and Supervisory experience required.
  5. Flexibility with schedule and availability to work evenings and weekends preferred

 

Physical Demands:

 

This position may require constant standing/walking and repetitive motions, frequent bending/stooping, reaching, lifting/handling, pushing/pulling and occasional carrying. Weights may vary up to 10 pounds and the frequency of treatments may vary.
